RezCon Installer for Mac OS X

The RezCon Installer is an almost completely automated tool to make sure your computer is ready to get on the RezCon network. It installs McAfee VirusScan for Mac and then activates your computer.

The RezCon Installer is VERY easy to run and requires virtually no computer knowledge.

Even if you are horrible with computers, you should be able to run this program without any problems. Please try to run this by yourself before coming to us for help.

The RezCon Installer for Mac supports the following Mac OS X versions:
  • Tiger (10.4.6 or higher)
  • Leopard (10.5 or higher)
The following are the minimum requirements for running the RezCon Installer:
  • Intel 1.4ghz or PowerPC G4 1.25ghz or higher
  • 512mb of RAM (1GB or more recommended)
  • 1gb of free space
Below is a step by step guide for installing the RezCon Installer for Mac.

First, go to http://rezcon.sdsu.edu/ and click on the Macintosh Installer link.
The RezCon Installer should then download.
Once it is done downloading, a window with "RezCon Installer.mpkg" should pop up and the following window should appear. Click Continue.

Select your hard drive (most likely named Macintosh HD) then click continue.03_macinstaller.jpg

It will then prompt you for your name and password. The name field is normally filled in already. This is the user name and password you use to login to the computer. Once you have typed it in, click OK.05_macinstaller.jpg
The RezCon Installer will then begin installing. Depending on how fast your computer is, the second image below may show up before the first. Read what it says, then close it and don't save it.06_macinstaller.jpg07_macinstaller.jpg

Eventually, it will get to the following screen. Enter in your Red ID and then click Submit.09_macinstaller.jpg
You should then see the following screen. Once you do, it is okay to restart your computer. Or, you can close the window and...10_macinstaller.jpg
